About Julie

Aside from the little blurb over to the right, here’s a more detailed look at who’s writing all these posts!

1. Where are you from?
I was born, raised, and am still living in the greater Philadelphia area

2. What made you decide to start this blog?
I have loved reading blogs for a long time, and always thought it would be great to be one of those confident, interesting writers that other people actually want to read about. I started this blog in 2011, centered around the idea of a 101 in 1001 List – you can read about that here. It’s a place for me to share things I love and think my readers will also enjoy.

3. When did you start cooking?
I have been cooking for my entire life! My culinary journey started when I was three, and my biggest life aspiration was to be a “good cooker of scrambled eggs”. My dad was raised in a family of bakers, so I have a deep rooted love for bread, pies, cakes, and cookies. Combine that with my love of art and design and I have a pretty good foundation for making some pretty sweet creations (if I do say so myself!)

What else would you like to know? Leave a comment and I’ll try to answer it here!
